Anxiety & OCD Therapy in Fort Lauderdale, FL

Still Minds Psychology: Welcome

At Still Minds Psychology, we provide specialized mental health therapy in Ft. Lauderdale and virtually throughout FL, TX, VT, ID, & SC for anxiety, OCD, panic, and phobias. If you feel stuck in cycles of worry, feeling constantly on edge, stuck engaging in mental checking, avoidance, or compulsive behaviors, therapy can help you break free and start living confidently. Treatment is not about reassurance, just getting validation, or “just thinking positive”; it’s about building real skills that reduce anxiety and restore trust in yourself. If you’ve been told to “just stop thinking that way” or “let it go”, you’re in the right place.

Meghan Cromie is one of the top OCD experts in South Florida and highly trained in evidenced based treatments like Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), Cognitive Behavioral Therapy (CBT) and Acceptance and Commitment Therapy (ACT). It is very possible to make a full recovery from anxiety, OCD, and phobias.

You do not have to manage this alone, and you do not have to feel this way forever. Start therapy with a clinician who understands anxiety and OCD

Conditions we specialize in treating

Exposure and Response Prevention (ERP), the gold-standard treatment for OCD, helps break the cycle of obsessions and compulsions in all their forms , including Pure-O, contamination fears, harm OCD, and religious or sexual intrusive thoughts.

When worry feels constant and hard to switch off, treatment targets the thinking patterns and avoidance behaviors that keep the cycle going. From GAD, Health Anxiety, Social Anxiety we address whatever fear latches into

We target the fear of the physical sensations themselves, so panic attacks lose their grip instead of being managed around indefinitely.

From emetophobia to fear of flying to fear of driving, structured exposure work moves at a pace you help set, until the fear no longer runs your decisions.

Evidence-based approaches help you process what happened so it stops dictating how you move through the present. If trauma has resulted in anxious or avoidant attachment patterns therapy can help us learn to connect and feel safe again.

Meet Meghan, Licensed Therapist, Anxiety & OCD specialist

As an licensed therapist specialized in anxiety and OCD , I help people overcome fear, not just cope with it, with some noticing a reduction in weeks.

I understand the way anxious thoughts can leave you feeling trapped. I struggled with severe anxiety and panic for several years before I was able to get help, and start actually living my life. I know therapy can help, and now I’m passionate about helping others.

I specialize in treating all forms of anxiety, from OCD (all subtypes & Pure-O), to social anxiety, panic disorder, health anxiety, phobias (agoraphobia, emetophobia, ect.), trauma (PTSD, religious trauma, childhood trauma), ARFID, ADHD, BFRB’s (excoriation, hair pulling), hoarding, tics and Tourettes, and more. I am a LGBTQA+ Affirming provider.

If you’ve tried more traditional talk therapy and didn’t get results, an evidenced-based, action focused approach may be what you need. I'll work with you step by step & at your pace. I know finding help can be intimidating. Fear and stigma stops many of us from getting the help they need. Don’t wait until you feel “perfectly ready”, knowing you want more is all that’s needed

Real Testimonial (anonymized for privacy, photo is not actual client)

“ I’ve really noticed such a huge reduction in symptoms and for the first time in years, I feel like I can live my life like a “normal” person without constant overwhelming anxiety. It restricted and impacted nearly every aspect of my daily life, and I honestly never pictured a reality where I wouldn’t feel that way or where I wouldn't feel like 99% of the things I wanted to do I couldn't because of my emetophobia. I truly cannot stress that point enough, I really really never envisioned a world where I could be rid of that feeling, and even though it is not completely gone, how I feel now is incomparable.

I finally feel like I can control my avoidance behaviors and compulsions rather than them controlling me, and that’s such an empowering feeling. I just wanted to express my gratitude and say thank you so much. I was skeptical at first (because I didn’t think this could ever improve), but reaching out for that first consultation was genuinely one of the best decisions I’ve ever made. I’m so glad I did, you’ve truly changed my life.”
